Dr Jonathan Pham is a consultant physician in allergy and respiratory medicine. He currently has an appointment at the Alfred Hospital as a consultant in the Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology service (AACI).
Jonathan sees adults and adolescents 14 years or older in this practice.
He has expertise in managing airways diseases: including chronic sinusitis, severe asthma, bronchiectasis, vocal cord dysfunction and chronic cough. He also manages allergic conditions including urticaria, allergic rhinitis, food allergy and anaphylaxis.
He has a range of research experience in lung and allergy conditions including as a research fellow at Imperial College London (St Mary’s Hospital, London), investigating the effects of air pollution on health outcomes. He is currently undertaking a PhD at Melbourne University investigating the origins of allergy and asthma in ethnic populations. His PhD work was awarded the 2020 NHMRC Gustav Nossal Award, for the top PhD grant in Australia in the field of clinical medicine and science.
